AMU VC’s Gender Biased Mindset

This is about the saffron robed Yogi Adiyanath, the five time MP from Gorakhpur who spits venom at minority communities at the drop of a hat. The Yogi known as ‘Mahatji’ in his locality talks of establishing Ram Rajya, end ‘Love Jehad’ and calls any counterview to his diktats to be from ‘Pakistaan’. He runs the parallel power center with his ‘Hindu Yuva Vahini” calling for Hindues to fight back.

But just three months back while taking the oath in the 16th parliament he had the following to say: “I (name) having been elected a member of the House of the People do swear in the name of God/solemnly affirm that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as by law established, that I will uphold the sovereignty and integrity of India and that I will faithfully discharge the duty upon which I am about to enter.”

Now can the Mahant according to his understanding explain how is he abiding by the ‘Consitiution’ and the ‘law established’ when he wants to change it. Also surprized that all lawmakers be it from opposition parties or from his parties actually do little to ‘lessen the venom’ that he vomits each time he speaks publicly.

Also that the Yogi was the chosen speaker by the ruling party to debate on ‘growing communalism’ in the country, it did speak volumes about the intentions of the lawmakers in abiding by the ‘ established law’. For the records, the honourable Yogi MP is facing charges for allegedly inciting communal tension in Gorakhpur in 2007. In fact the Supreme Court in 2012, had upheld a Allahabad High Court judgement ordering the Gorakhpur police to lodge an FIR against Adityanath for his alleged involvement in spreading communal violence in nearly a dozen districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh in 2007.

The Supreme Court order clearly notes that “Adityanath Yogi provoked Hindus to kill Muslims and rob and set afire their houses and shops and to destruct their religious places and Tazias for the reason of the murder of Raj Kumar Agrahari (incident of 26/27th January, 2007 Gorakhpur Town) and the alleged incidents happening since 24th January, 2007 and also provoked Muslims not to celebrate Muharram which was a conspiracy hatched by him on the basis of his maligned thought and to fulfil which, he was looking for an appropriate situation. Under this very conspiracy, criminal incidents were carried out in the Gorakhpur and Basti Divisions, which caused disruption of Law and Order.
